The 'Glen' Ring
The 'Glen' ring, bespoke made for you on the Isle of Arran by Jess MacDonald Brass
A glen in Scotland is a deep, narrow valley, carved out by ancient glaciers and often found in mountainous, dramatic areas. Many glens evoke a sense of awe and wonder. Time spent in a glen is time you not only connect with the wild, untamed nature of Scotland, while surrounded by towering, majestic mountains, but the echoes of the ancient clans history find their way to your soul leaving you feeling humbled and grateful in life.
The 'Glen' ring is created by shaping and carving wax, then using a method called 'lost wax casting'. I use this process to create a glen like groove and texture around the ring, capturing those wild moments of a Scottish adventure.
The price on this listing is for a handmade, one of a kind silver ring. If you would like to know more, it's best to email me and we can talk it through. Each will look slightly different as made individually for each customer, with roughly an 8 week turnaround. Please email me before purchase with your finger size and any specific requirements, like width of ring or if you would like a price in gold or platinum. Thankyou.
My jewellery is individually hand-crafted or made in small batch production which is hand-finished - this is reflected in the final finish of each piece. This means that it will not be the same as machine made or mass-produced jewellery. Instead, it gives each of my designs a special artisanal touch.
