FLIGHT Feather Necklace
Bohemian feather silver necklace made on the Isle of Arran by Jess MacDonald Brass.
A bohemian necklace has a beautifully raw feel to it. Feathers symbolise Hope, Strength, Balance and Good Luck.
Native Americans believed that feathers fell to earth as gifts from the sky. They have always been a symbol of flight and freedom, as they come from birds and aid their flight and fun in the sky.
When designing this piece I kept thinking of the following quote-
“Let me be as a feather. Strong with purpose yet light at heart, able to bend. And, though I might become frayed, able to pull myself together again.”

My jewellery is individually hand-crafted or made in small batch production which is hand-finished - this is reflected in the final finish of each piece. This means that it will not be the same as machine made or mass-produced jewellery. Instead, it gives each of my designs a special artisanal touch.
