SKY GUARDIAN

The Nut Talisman

Inspired by Nut, the ancient Egyptian goddess of the sky and heavens, Sky Guardian is a talisman of protection, reassurance and our connection to the world above.

In Egyptian mythology, Nut was the sky herself, often depicted as a woman arching over the earth, her body covered in stars. She was believed to shelter the world beneath her, watching over the living and welcoming the departed into her celestial embrace.

The ancient Egyptians saw the heavens as part of the great cycle of life. Nut was believed to swallow the sun each evening and give birth to it again at dawn, a powerful symbol of renewal and the eternal passage between darkness and light.

Sky Guardian honours this ancient belief in the sky as a source of protection and continuity. A reminder of the comfort we can find beneath the stars, and of the strength that comes from knowing we are part of something far greater than ourselves.

Made in sterling silver, the pendant's geometric design draws upon the forms of ancient Egyptian architecture. A central triangle rises towards the heavens, while a pointed arch surrounds it, representing Nut's protective presence over the earth. Fine engraved lines radiate across the surface, completing this symbolic tribute to the goddess of the sky.

My jewellery is individually hand-crafted or made in small batch production which is hand-finished - this is reflected in the final finish of each piece. This means that it will not be the same as machine made or mass-produced jewellery. Instead, it gives each of my designs a special artisanal touch.
