The 'Uprush' Ring
The 'Uprush' ring, bespoke made for you on the Isle of Arran by Jess MacDonald Brass
'Uprush' is the onshore flow of the sea-the last moments of a wave as it rolls up the beach before pausing briefly and lazily retreating back to sea. In these moments, there is usually a time of tranquility and joy - even reflection. Soothed by the sound of waves and the gentle touch of the salty sea breeze, a serene sense of calm and peace washes over you as you open yourself up and connect with nature.
The 'Uprush' ring is created by melting, shaping and carving wax, then using a method called 'lost wax casting'. I use this process to recreate those final moments of a wave on the beach and capture that moment for the ocean lover and barefoot wanderer.
The price on this listing is for a handmade, one of a kind silver ring. If you would like to know more, it's best to email me and we can talk it through. Each will look slightly different as made individually for each customer, with roughly an 8 week turnaround. Please email me before purchase with your finger size and any specific requirements, like width of ring or if you would like a price in gold or platinum. Thankyou.
My jewellery is individually hand-crafted or made in small batch production which is hand-finished - this is reflected in the final finish of each piece. This means that it will not be the same as machine made or mass-produced jewellery. Instead, it gives each of my designs a special artisanal touch.
