Dewdrops Pendant Necklace

£98

Dewdrops pendant necklace in sterling silver, handcrafted on the Isle of Arran by Jess MacDonald Brass.

Morning dew embodies purity and renewal, and this symbolism runs through cultures across the world. Celtic tradition tells of dewdrops left in the footsteps of nocturnal dancers. Greeks and Romans saw them as tears from the goddess of dawn. Indigenous peoples of the Americas considered dew a source of life and fertility.

In Scotland, dew gathered on a May morning was considered a gift, a sign of renewal, of the world beginning again. The dawn of a new day, held in a single drop.

For the one standing at the start of something. For the one who knows that every morning is a chance to begin again.

My jewellery is individually hand-crafted or made in small batch production which is hand-finished - this is reflected in the final finish of each piece. This means that it will not be the same as machine made or mass-produced jewellery. Instead, it gives each of my designs a special artisanal touch.
