Jess MacDonald Brass
Machrie Heather Earrings
Machrie Heather earrings in sterling silver made on the Isle of Arran by Jess MacDonald Brass.
The heather in these earrings was gathered at Machrie Moor, on Arran. One of Scotland's oldest landscapes - standing stones, open sky, heather as far as you can see.
Pressed into silver, it carries the texture of the real thing - every small flower, held in metal.
Heather has always meant something in Scotland. Good luck, protection, beauty, admiration - a plant that covers entire hillsides and still manages to feel personal.
For the woman who knows where she belongs.
Each piece comes with a card telling its story.
Also available as bracelet and a necklace, and in gold on request.
Material: sterling silver
Dimensions: 10mm diameter
My jewellery is individually hand-crafted or made in small batch production which is hand-finished - this is reflected in the final finish of each piece. This means that it will not be the same as machine made or mass-produced jewellery. Instead, it gives each of my designs a special artisanal touch.
